Lawyer Erik A. Øyen MNA
For the last 10 years I have worked in international business and later with international law.
Working with international law and foreign clients requires keeping an added dimension in mind: The client is foreign and may not be that familiar with the Norwegian legal system, norms and way of life. This means that extra care needs to be taken in order to explain the parameters of every case.
Sometimes a particular aspect unique to Norwegian law needs particular explanation. Major differences to foreign law (continental, anglo-american or other) need to be assessed.
Having worked with this particular segment of the law I have developed a particular awareness of these challenges. With this as my basis, I am in a good position to serve clients with legal issues that transgress borders and jurisdictions.
